Getting back to work after a break of 2 years!!

After a loooong break of 2 years, i am back to work and IT FEELS GREAT!

Its so difficult to make a decision about working or staying at home! This post was one of my first on this issue! This post was about my decision..

Just before Diwali, i got an offer from my company and i was shocked and elated. I asked for some time to join back as i knew we had to shift close to office and decide on how to manage Oviya. EA went house hunting in T Nagar and came back disappointed on many days. Atlast, we found a house matching our requirements, which was just 5 min away from office for me. The rent is high but we decided that convenience and peace of mind were important now! We vacated our own apartment which we had furnished just recently. I went to Hyderabad for 2 weeks to attend my sister's wedding.

We moved into the new home in December and the first few weeks were tough with me falling sick and Oviya not getting used to daycare at all. She cried and cried everytime i dropped her at the daycare and fell sick. I was distraught and didnt know what to do. Our neighbour suggested that we ask our maid as she is known to them and comes from a good family. Fortunately, she agreed to manage Oviya from 12 noon to 6.30pm and Oviya too got used to her pretty quickly.

We decided to send Oviya to Kidzee as it is the nearest school even though it is pretty expensive..

The New Year dawned and i started working from 2nd January, 2012. Oviya started her school on 4th January, 2012. I have requested my parents to help me out for a month and it has been a smooth ride so far!(TOUCHWOOD!!)

My sis and her hubby came home for Pongal and we had a super time visiting the beach, having dinner at the food court in Ampa Skywalk and watching the night show of "Nanban" at PVR!
