Review of "Friends with Benefits"

I won a CD of " Mere Brother Ki Dulhan" as the prize. Before i could even take a picture of it, Oviya managed to rip apart the cover..atleast she didnt break the CD!!!
Here is my review:
I wanted a nice way to ring in my 27th birthday and thought “Friends with Benefits” would be a romantic comedy that I could enjoy with my hubby but ended up disappointed.
I agree with Mr Masand’s views that the movie was very predictable! The movie begins with Jamie (Mila Kunis), a recruiter convincing Dylan (Justin Timberlake) from LA to take up a job as an art director in GQ magazine, New York. He gets convinced after she takes him around New York and he sees a flash mob performing a seemingly coordinated dance performance (which ultimately forms an important part of the climax)
The lead pair get along well and during one of their discussions over a sappy movie, decide that if there were no emotional entanglements after sex, they would atleast remain friends forever. They continue this arrangement until they decide they need to date other people. Dylan manages to talk to a beautiful girl at a park only to find out she is married. Jamie manages to catch the attention of an oncologist and is very happy with him. They go out on 5 dates and after having sex, the doc suddenly decides to leave her. Dylan invites the heartbroken Jamie to his home to spend the 4th of July weekend where Dylan’s father and sister notice their chemistry. The scene where Jamie and Dylan climb on to the “Hollywood sign” is one of the few comic scenes in the movie. The next day, Jamie overhears Dylan telling his sister (who sees him sneaking out of Jamie’s room after sex) that she is not the type of person he would date and leaves for New York and tries to cut out Dylan from her life. After some Bollywood type advice from friends and relatives on how good Jamie was for him, Dylan manages to make Jamie come to Grand Central station(like in one of the movies they saw together) and arranges for a flash mob in the backdrop of which they get together.
The lead pair looks nice on screen but there is nothing more to it. The chemistry we saw between say Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in their romantic movies was clearly absent. Mila Kunis’ voice was quite squeaky and somehow reminded me of Rani Mukherjee!! Jamie’s mom’s character who doesn’t even remember who Jamie’s dad was is not very palatable for Indian audiences. Also, Dylan’s dad’s character was unnecessary in the movie.
