Why is it that the good people go to God very soon?

FIL breathed his last on February 28th, 2011 at 3pm. EA was in the hospital but couldnt be by his side as the visiting hours were only in the morning and evening for patients in the CCU. We visited him the day before and it was heartwrenching to see him wired to so many devices and hooked on to life-support systems.

FIL was due for a second session of chemotherapy but suddenly developed breathing problems and was admitted to the CCU. He was going to be discharged and he even told the doc that he was bored and wanted to go home. Things suddenly worsened and the doc found that the cancer that had spread to his lungs didnt respond to the radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The primary cancer in the thyroid had responded to the treatment and FIL was able to speak again. The next few weeks were a blur with all the rituals and relatives at home. Since FIL’s brother’s son’s wedding was to be held, all the rituals were completed a bit early so that the wedding could go on as planned.

FIL had wanted to stay with us after retirement and help me manage Oviya as he knew i was desperate to get back to work. Also, he wanted to escape from MIL who never let him stay in peace at home and who unbelievably cursed him to "Go and die" every single day. After retiring, he knew things would be unbearable at home. Its unbelievable that he retired on November 30th, was diagnosed with cancer on December 9th and expired on February 28th.

He was my sole well wisher on EA’s side and was my guardian angel. He would always defend me whenever MIL tortured me. He cared for me like a father. All those who came to the funeral had something good to say about him. He had helped so many people in different ways.

A lot of things happened in the past few months that have left me seething with anger and frustration. I am in two minds whether to blog about it. Maybe one day i will.

MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE,DEAR FIL..

YOU ARE ONE OF THE BEST PERSONS I HAVE EVER KNOWN AND YOU ARE CERTAINLY THE ONLY PERSON ON EA'S SIDE WHO DESERVES LOVE AND RESPECT. MAYBE GOD TOOK YOU TO ENSURE YOU ESCAPE TORTURE AND RIDICULE ON EARTH..I WISH YOU WERE THERE FOR ME AND OVIYA FOR MANY YEARS...:(
